# Template Migration

Template Migration is used to help the app easily authenticate customers when they are logged in to your shop. By default, the app will automatically migrate your templates for you. So you don't have to do anything. In case you would like to migrate your template by yourself, here is how to do it.&#x20;

If this is your first time editing Shopify template, please make sure to read and understand how to edit Shopify template:&#x20;

<https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/using-themes/change-the-layout/theme-code>

Edit the **layout/theme.liquid** to include the following code. Place the code just in the head before the closing **\</head>** tag

```
<script>window.beans_cjs_id = '{{ customer.id }}'; window.beans_cjs_email = '{{ customer.email }}';</script>
```

So the final result will look like this:

![](/files/-Lu7pmJcLdTsKZ7f6H4p)

&#x20;Don't forget to click on **save**.
